Extra Brut sparkling wine from Frecciarossa is a Classic Method that originates in the beautiful hilly area of Oltrepò Pavese from pure Pinot Noir grapes. In these lands, the Burgundy-origin grape variety has been cultivated for centuries, both to produce excellent sparkling bases and great red wines, considered among the best versions of Pinot Noir in our peninsula. Aged for 22 months on the lees, it expresses a fragrant freshness that, combined with a structure and intense persistence, makes it a label to be enjoyed throughout the meal.

The Extra Brut Classic Method is a sparkling wine produced by one of the historic wineries in the Oltrepò Pavese area. Frecciarossa was founded in 1919 and still today represents a solid reference point and a model of style for the wines of the region. The vineyards are located in the magnificent hilly territory of Casteggio and are managed according to the principles of organic farming, aiming to safeguard environmental biodiversity. The lands of clay marl, rich in iron minerals, host 21 hectares of vineyards, where Pinot Noir dominates. The grapes for the sparkling bases come from 15-year-old vines, cultivated at an altitude of 250-200 meters. The base wines are vinified in steel and the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, with a minimum aging on the lees of 22 months.

Extra Brut from Frecciarossa is a Classic Method that confirms the great tradition of this territory in the production of sparkling wines based on pure Pinot Noir. In the glass, it presents a light yellow color with brilliant golden hues. The perlage is fine and of good persistence. On the nose, it opens with notes of citrus, fruity aromas, sensations of bread crust, and mineral memories. The sip is fresh and decisive, with rich and harmonious aromas. The finish is long and savory.
